Webinar for Deutsche Bank: "Democratization, decarbonization, decentralization, and digitalization"

Published:

Dev Sanyal was invited by Deutsche Bank to discuss the current market situation and perspectives ahead.

The war in Ukraine has added major challenges to the economy on top of the pandemic-related supply chain disturbances.

Together with Global Chief Investment Officer Christian Nolting, they talked about the impact of the current supply-driven crisis in energy markets but also about the future – the energy transition.

Our CEO laid out four central themes that matter: Democratization, decarbonization, decentralization, and digitalization

The current situation reminds us of the asymmetric dependence of consumers on a few producers. It is the antithesis of the idea of democratization of energy. Now is the time to make energy better and cleaner by a more distributed access and balance in the energy system (i.e., Decentralization) while making it compatible with the climate goals the world needs (i.e. Decarbonisation). And technology has a vital role to create new, agile and more efficient solutions (i.e. Digitialisation).
