VARO Energy is pleased to announce that Dr. Norbert Kamp will be joining the company in late May as a Managing Director of VARO Energy Germany GmbH and Country Manager Germany.
Dr. Kamp brings enormous experience across the Downstream Oil sector following an international career spanning 18 years with BP Oil. Most recently, he served as Chief Commercial Officer for BP’s Aviation business Air BP, leading global, customer focused, Sales, Marketing and Supply teams. Roger Brown, VARO CEO, commented: “VARO Germany has grown significantly over the last two years and Dr. Kamp will enable us to further grow the business into a fully integrated major player in the German market.”
Dr. Kamp replaces Christian Silkenath, who has played a central role in setting up the German organization of VARO and now leaves the company at his own request.

Mr. Martin von Leesen will assume the role of Country Manager on an interim basis, up to Mr. Kamp’s arrival, scheduled for 22 May 2017.
